Our standard method
of construction relies on a flat, level and square concrete
base, and we will lay a sand and cement mortar fillet
internally around the perimeter of the building to help
prevent water seeping under the panels.
We define below any exceptions that may cause subsequent
problems.
Our suggestions are listed as a guide, and you will always
need to design your base to suit local conditions.
As in your house (when was the last time you lived in
a house without guttering?), your garage will perform
better with guttering fitted. The small additional expenditure
will prevent water pouring off the roof and splashing
onto the base, and then getting in under the panels.
