Can
I use my existing concrete base?
Maybe... It should be flat,
square and level and be the correct size. It should be
of a design to suit local conditions - consult your local
Compton agent or builder, (see above). Please don't assume
that because there was a garage there before, of any type,
that the base is suitable, it must always be checked. |

understand that you put down a sand and cement mortar
fillet?
Yes,
a sand and cement mortar fillet is laid internally around
the base of the perimeter wall. This is designed to help
prevent water access underneath the concrete panels. (We
cannot guarantee the fillet if the surrounding ground
level is above base level, or if the garage is built close
to a wall or other building without adequate drainage
in between.)
